My name is Mary Goldberg and I live in Douglas, Michigan. I paint pictures of birds, flowers, and other objects in nature. I especially love birds, because it reminds me of my children growing up, telling stories about birds, and watching birds. I love painting baby birds most of all, because it reminds me of a mother’s love for her children.

In grade school, high school, and college I never thought of myself as particularly artistic, and then one day my husband signed us both up for a drawing class taught by Brian Bomeisler (drawright.com) and lo and behold there was an artist inside. The self portrait on the left was drawn on day one of the class, and the one on the right on day five.
